Independent assessor — South Florida

The doctor for your home's air.

Rush Environmental performs mold assessments, indoor air quality inspections, and insurance-grade protocols across South Florida. We diagnose, write the scope, and verify the work — we don't remediate. That's the point.

What we do

Diagnose first. Direct the work. Verify the result.

Four core services, all aimed at one thing: clean, healthy air in your home — and documentation that holds up when an insurer or attorney asks.

Mold Assessments & Sampling

Visual inspection paired with air and surface sampling, sent to an accredited lab. You get a clear picture of what is — and isn't — in your home.

  • Air-pump cassette sampling
  • Surface tape lifts & swabs
  • Accredited lab analysis

Mold Protocols & Insurance Reports

Detailed scope-of-work and reports written to insurance-grade standards. We document the problem and prescribe the fix — your remediator follows it.

  • Insurance-ready documentation
  • Defensible scope of work
  • Post-remediation verification

IAQ Inspections — Annual & Hurricane

Routine indoor air quality maintenance, plus pre- and post-hurricane inspections to catch hidden moisture intrusion before it becomes a claim.

  • Annual IAQ baselines
  • Pre-storm readiness check
  • Post-storm moisture survey

Air Filtration & Purification

Properly sized HEPA and air purification systems for South Florida homes. We size, recommend, and install the right unit for your space.

  • Whole-room HEPA units
  • Bedroom & nursery sizing
  • Allergy & post-storm relief

The doctor approach

Independent diagnosis. No conflict of interest.

When the company that finds the mold is also the company paid to remove it, you get bigger scopes and bigger bills. Rush Environmental works the other way around — like a doctor who prescribes the treatment but doesn't sell the drugs.

  • 1 We diagnose. Inspection, sampling, and a lab-backed picture of what's actually happening in your home.
  • 2 We write the protocol. A clear scope of work your remediator must follow — nothing more, nothing less.
  • 3 We verify. Post-remediation testing confirms the work was done right before walls go back up.

Florida law requires mold assessors and mold remediators to be separate. We follow the rules — and we use them to protect you.

Our process

From first call to clearance — five steps.

A repeatable, evidence-based process that produces documents your insurer, attorney, and remediator will all take seriously.

  1. Inspect

A trained assessor walks the property, checks moisture, HVAC, and the building envelope.

  2. Sample

Air, surface, and (when needed) cavity samples are collected to a documented chain of custody.

  3. Lab

Samples go to an accredited microbiology lab. Results come back species-level when required.

  4. Protocol

We write a clear, defensible scope of work — exactly what to remove, dry, contain, and clean.

  5. Verify

After your remediator finishes, we re-test to confirm the work is done. No conflict of interest.

Hurricane season — June 1 to November 30

Pre- & post-hurricane IAQ inspections.

Wind-driven rain finds the smallest gap. A 24–48 hour delay turns a small intrusion into a remediation claim. We baseline before the storm and survey for moisture after — so problems are documented early, not after the drywall is hiding them.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you also remove the mold?

No — and that's on purpose. We are an independent assessor. We diagnose, write the protocol, and verify the work afterward. Keeping diagnosis and remediation separate protects you from over-removal and inflated scopes.

Will my insurance accept your report?

Our reports are written to insurance-grade standards used by adjusters and carriers across Florida. We document the cause, the affected materials, and a clear scope so your claim is defensible.

How long does an assessment take?

Most single-family homes take 60–120 minutes on site. Lab results typically return in 2–3 business days, with the written protocol following shortly after.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on home size and the number of samples needed. We give a flat quote up front before any work begins — no surprises.

Should I get an inspection before hurricane season?

Yes. A baseline IAQ check before storm season makes post-storm claims faster and stronger. We also offer rapid post-storm moisture surveys to catch intrusion before mold takes hold.

Are you certified?

Yes — we hold credentials with the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) and the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors (NORMI), and we follow Florida's licensing rules for mold assessors.
